Hot Tub Maintenance...Made Easy!
A lot of people have a misunderstanding about how easy it is to maintain a hot tub.
Hopefully this page will make your life a lot easier!
Dimension One has a patented sanitation system built into their tubs, called the Ultrapure Water Management System. This system allows you to use much less chlorine than a standard hot tub.
It also allows you to go much longer in between water changes.
Please follow the directions below based on whether or not you have the Ultrapure system.

Start Up Chemical Instructions — NON–Ultrapure:
- Add Alka-Rise (check test strip, bring level to 120ppm)
- Add 2 Tbsp Chlor-Aid
- Add 1/2 cup of Spa Shock
- Install new Vision Cartridge
- Go for a soak!
On-Going Maintenance
Twice per week – 1/2 cup Spa Shock
Twice per week – 1 Tbsp Chlor-Aid (this is just a guide - keep level between 1–3ppm)
Once per month – hose off filters
Every other month – hose off filters, then soak in Cartridge Cleaner
Every 3 months – change water, get new Vision or ProClear Cartridge and follow start up instructions
Every year – replace filters
UV Ozone needs to be replaced every 2 years. CD Ozone every 4 years.

- Add Alka-Rise (check test strip, should be around 120ppm)
- Add 2 Tbsp of Chlor–Aid
- Add 1/2 cup of Spa Shock
- Install new Vision Cartridge
- Go for a soak!
On-Going Maintenance
Twice per week – 1/2 cup Spa Shock
Once per week – 1 Tbsp Chlor-Aid (your test strip should read ZERO chlorine)
Once per month – hose off filters
Every other month – hose off filters, then soak in Cartridge Cleaner
Every 6 months – Get new Vision Cartridge, change water and follow start up instructions
Every year – replace filters
Every 2 years – replace Ozone Bulb
